Emotional Wellness 

Emotional wellness is the ability to cope effectively with life as well as the ability to create satisfying relationships.  Emotional wellness is explained as having a “positive attitude, high self-esteem, a strong sense of self, and the ability to recognize and share a wide range of feelings with others in a constructive way” (unh.edu, 2015, para. 1). 

Activities

  • Volunteer at your local nonprofit
  • Eat dinner as a family
  • Take a vacation or retreat
  • Recite a daily affirmation
  • Complete a stress reduction program
  • Learn about emotional intelligence
  • Journal your feelings
  • Take some “me” time
